John Deere's logo and motto were recognized as one of America's 10-most recognizable brands for companies that have endured since the 1800s. The leaping deer logo, a variation of which has persisted since the company was founded in 1837. That logo's deer, which actually was specific to Africa, was trademarked in 1876. As the logo changed, the deer evolved as well and grew to become a North American white-tailed deer. And while many adjustments have upgraded the logo, the motto has also endured the test of time because, after all: "Nothing runs like a Deere."
